Club ride guidance

in General Chat

In order to be allowed to ride in club ride groups of more than 6 and up to 15 people, there are certain measures that need to be complied with:

The implementation of a test and trace protocol - this means that names of participants will be taken at the start of a ride and a record kept. If you are not currently a member of the club, we may need your full details. For club members, we only need names, as we have contact details. It would therefore be helpful if people could renew their membership, so that records are up to date.

Social distancing during the ride - keep 2 metres apart when not riding (at the start and at cafe stops and any other stops) and keep “1 metre plus”apart during the ride itself. The rule of 6 applies during any stops.

Guidance on good hand and respiratory hygiene - you may wish to carry hand gel to use at stops. If you have a runny nose you should use a hanky, your glove or your sleeve to wipe it, no blowing of snot rockets! You should also carry a face covering to use at any cafe stops, although stops will be outside, you may need to go inside the cafe to order.

Guidance on equipment sharing and self sufficiency. You should come fully equipped to deal with any potential problems, such as punctures or mechanical breakdowns. You cannot expect others to fix your puncture or mend your bike for you.

By participating in the ride, you are deemed to have agreed to these measures.
