Anybody up for a ride in the Peaks? We have not been for a while.

Me and Brian having been talking about doing one, as it happens on that very day (were going to go last Saturday but rained off). 10am start at Cromford? That's ready to ride at 10, not just pulling in to the car park. Probably best to have 2 groups if there's enough riders, so we don't
slow you down too much on the hills, and meet up at the café.
We were going to do our classic Derbyshire route - up the Via Gelia to the Hollybush, Longcliffe, Parwich, Biggin, Hartington, Sheen, Longnor for café, then Crowdicote, Monyash, Long Rake, Youlgrave, Elton and back via the Hollybush to Cromford.

9 out on the Derbyshire ride. We set of from Cromford up the Via Gelia, then up to Longcliffe, Parwich, over the Buxton road, to Biggin, through Hartington towards Hulme End then taking the right turn up to Sheen and Eventually to Longnor for our lunch stop. We split up after lunch with me, Sue and Brian turning off after Crowdicote back towards Hartington, then parsley Hay, Newhaven and back down the Via.
The others carried on to Monyash, where Giles and Jon carried on to Bakewell, Chatsworth, Beeley and over to Crich. Jon had ridden out, so headed for home from there. Llew, Mick, Dave T, Wayne did the climb from Alport up to Elton and Winster then back down the Via to Cromford, to meet up with us at the café. It was cooler than recently which made for pleasant riding conditions. Nice to ride on some different roads too.

It was a nice ride and great to see you all. Nice cafe stop. I did 82 miles by the time I got home and 7500ft of climbing, which was enough for me at the moment. Great views!
