Research Opportunity - Walking, Cycling and Nature Conservation in Nottingham

in General Chat

This came in today if anyone is interested in taking part:

"My name is Emily Stone, and I am currently a student on the MSc 'Environmental Leadership and Management' course at the University of Nottingham. I am currently working on my final project, which is being conducted with Nottingham City Council's Cycling and Walking Infrastructure Development team, and due to the focus/nature of my research, I believe that you and your organisation might be interested in taking part.

In summary, my project is not only looking at people's walking and/or cycling habits in and around Nottingham, but overall, it will investigate whether certain activities like walking and/or cycling, could be used as a way to make people more aware of local nature conservation issues, as well as engage people to perform certain pro-conservation behaviours (e.g. I feed birds, I sign petitions concerning local nature conservation issues).

If you are interested in taking part, I have attached both a link to my survey, as well as a participant information and consent form, so you can see what my project is aiming to investigate, as well as the rights you and others will have throughout the research process.

If you have any further questions/concerns, please do not hesitate to contact me at: lgxes3@nottingham.ac.uk. "
