I’ve sent off the Police notification and we are good to go for the Evening 10’s to start from 13th April, provided the situation doesn’t change again.

will we be ok with the 10s i read work will be done on the haywood oaks junction
Might be worth having a back up plan. I wonder how far of 2 laps of Oxton to Northgate is? Or going down to Whitepost instead of Longdale Lane.

In the longer term, it looks like they are going to stop right turns from the A614 to the A6097 at Northgate, which would rule out our current 10 course and circuit events. No date for this yet though.

You would need to go up to to Lockwell Hill Island A617/A614 junction. A bit hillier and two difficult Islands to negotiate.
Start and/or finish would need to be extended a bit - perhaps turn left back towards Oxton to finish.
We are running out of roads for TTs without going south of the Trent.

For a longer term replacement, if they stop right turns at Northgate, I’ve measured a course starting at the entrance to Oaks Lane, up to Northgate, left to Longdale, encircle, up to White Post Island, back to Northgate and finish opposite the start. It’s 10 miles. Finishing riders could go down Forest Road towards Oxton. There’s a small car park at the top of Forest Road and no need to move between start and finish. Could adjust start and finish slightly to make it safer.

If there are road works on the A614, I think we could run 2 laps of the A6097 section, which is about 5.5 miles for the up and back circuit. Would need to adjust the start finish a bit to make it exactly 10 miles, or go straight on at Oxton island on the second lap.
