About 15 riders at the start and I told everyone we were going out to see the Lighthouse. By Car Colston, there were some mutterings of discontent with Frank and Colin saying they wanted to go to Little Jacks. We get across Orston crossroads to find that there are only 4 of us left in the group and everyone else has followed Frank and Co. We carried on with the planned route through Bottesford and up Long Lane but saw nothing of the race, as the shortened course meant all of the riders had already gone through. We saw the last rider finishing as we made our way from Harby to Langar and the tea stop at Barnstone, Back down Granby Lane, then through Scarrington and Car Colston before we split for home at East Bridgford. I ended up with 37 miles at 15.7 average, which was enough after yesterday's hard ride.
Well done to the Lighthouse riders, who put in some good rides in tough conditions.
