A nice sunny morning, warmer and lighter winds than yesterday. Seven of us in the easy group delayed by a puncture at Gunthorpe Bridge. Café stop at Little Jacks where four of the other group arrived just after us.
It was after midday when we left so came straight back. A little bit quicker ride today, but I did fade towards the end.
Nice ride, but bike filthy. Back home had a cup of tea, took the dog for a walk then washed the bike, shoes and overshoes. Now feet up!
Me and Sue never made the start as Sue had a puncture coming down Gunthorpe hill. After mending it we tagged on to Llew’s group and headed out via Orston, Elton, Granby and Plungar, where we split as Llew wanted to go up Stathern hill. We carried on to Harby and Long Clawson to Hickling. Llew’s group went left along the ridge to Woolsthorpe and Bottesford. We saw a few patches of black ice early on.
