A very nice sunny day attracted a large group for the Sunday Club Run. We had two groups the faster one going to Lake View Fishing and the Easy Group to Little Jack's.
The easy group picked up Ben on his fixed wheel bike, riding again after his heart operation. We got split on the climb to Belvoir (as usual) and re-grouped at Woolsthorpe. As we got going again Ben hit a big pot hole and punctured both tyres. Of course with fixed wheel you don't have quick release to remove wheels and need a spanner - Ben didn't have one, or a spare tube or a pump!
A spanner was borrowed from a house and the rest from within the group. Roger took charge assisted by Dan (new rider) and Howard to get everything sorted while we enjoyed the sunshine break.
At the café Colin was waiting for us having dropped off the other group.
A tail wind back through Flawborough and Screveton and we were back at about the usual time.
