While the larger group went to Little Jack's via Pasture Lane, six in the steady group went to Claypole. This was my first visit to this fairly new café and we were impressed by the food quality and the service. It was quite busy when we arrived, but we managed to get a table for 6 upstairs - outside seats were mainly occupied.
Just a few small climbs, like Dry Doddington, and great to have a tailwind back. George and I sat on the front all the way and kept everyone together for a good sociable ride. 48 miles for me - about all I can manage now!
It's a great little café - I think I've been 6 or 7 times now.
