A cold sunny day with a strong easterly wind. 14 of us went to Little Jack's avoiding the very minor roads and any risk of ice. Quite a nice day for February except for the wind.
The biggest danger was on the return, when on the old Fosse Road we were in the lane for turning right back to East Bridgford and signalling for turning right when a car overtook us. We heard it coming - sounded like a racing motorbike - it passed us at about 70 mph ( a black sporty type car) narrowly avoiding oncoming traffic. Fortunately, we held back from making our right turn. What inspires some drivers to make such dangerous actions?
