Thursday 22nd Oct

in What have you done today?

Solo ride to Lowdham and back via Calverton, Epperstone, and Hoveringham with detore to Thurgaton.

Did 7m:44s time on the Epperstone push. A segment I have invented (2.4 miles) from the A6097 through Epperstone to the signpost just before the sharp right hand turn and the wriggly bits before getting to Southwell Road. Just after Epperstone there was several cop cars and vans with coppers milling around, I think it was just a meet up for a chat. Did not get stopped or chased!

Was a bit windy. Why is it the wind always seems to be more in your face than at your back?

29.73 miles.

There is a shooting range (see the red flag) on the left at you leave Epperstone for Gonalston. I think the police still use it for weapons training.
