A sunny start but a bit fresher today. With well over twenty riders for the easy group, we split into two with nine in the easier group on a flat route to Hickling. Between Long Clawson and Nether Broughton the road was being dressed with tar and lost of chippings. Our tyres were covered and some wheels stopped turning so we had a delay to clear things.
Hickling Wharf was a welcome stop to sit out in the sun. The other part of the group arrived a bit later, having gone a longer, hillier way. We soon set off to give them some space to sit for their break.
Both groups came back on the same route but separately. I was well shattered towards the end having worked too much in the wind!
